The following appears in the Bromsgrove Weekly Messenger, 6th January 1917:
Private Allen Parkes of Holy Cross, Clent, Worcestershire Regiment.  Killed in action. Before enlistment he was gardener to Mr. J.D. Harward (ex-Mayor of Stourbridge), Winterfold, Chaddesley Corbett.  Aged 31.

Allen Parkes has no known grave, the photograph available shows his name on Thiepval Memorial.
