George Wood joined Kidderminster Borough Police as PC K023 on 9th June 1912. Nicknamed ‘Ginger’, at the time he joined the force he was 28 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches tall with sandy/auburn hair. He left the police force on 5th August 1914 and re-joined as PC K020 on 18th March 1916. George died on 25th July 1928.
