Allen Robinson joined Kidderminster Borough Police as PC K021 on 7th March 1915 when he gave his date of birth as 8th November 1883 at Heckmondwike, Yorkshire, his home address as Wood Street, Kidderminster and his previous employment as a Tin Stamper. At the time he joined the force he was 31 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches tall with a fresh complexion, grey eyes and light brown hair.

On 2nd September 1911 Allen married Jessie Agnes Whatley in Kidderminster and the couple had 1 daughter born on 16th November 1916. John died on 29th August 1933 after 18 years 176 days service. His wife received a pension of £30 per annum.
