Richard Walker volunteered for service in the Royal Navy on 29th August 1940.  At the time of his enlistment he was 6 feet tall with brown hair, brown eyes and a fresh complexion.  His family received notification on 22nd July 1942 that he was missing on active service.

Richard Walker has no known grave, the photograph available shows his name on Chatham Naval Memorial.
