Robert Lewis-Lloyd was born at Taunton on 6th April 1895. He was promoted Sub-Lieutenant on 15th January 1915. He was one of 96 men killed when HMS Opal sank in bad weather while on night patrol looking for German minelayers off the Scottish Coast.
