Further Information About LOWE Charles Henry

A photograph of Private C.W. Lowe, Worcestershire Regiment, can be found in Berrow’s Worcester Journal Supplement, Saturday 12th August 1916 available at Worcestershire Archives.  A search of military sources has revealed Charles Henry Lowe as the only casualty of this name in the Worcestershire Regiment during 1916. As the next photograph in the supplement is of his brother, H.J. Lowe, this would suggest that the middle name initial €˜W’ is a probable misprint in the supplement and the photograph is of Charles H. Lowe.

Charles Lowe has no known grave, the photograph available shows his name on Thiepval Memorial.
