Further Information About WHITFIELD John Henry

John Whitfield was born in Sharpness, Gloucestershire. He attended Worcester Royal Grammar School from 1893 to 1895. After leaving school John went on to become a successful draper-milliner with premises in Worcester Street. He also chaired the Cottage Hospital Saturday Committee as well as being General Secretary of the Bromsgrove Brotherhood, a member of the Urban District Council and head of the Lighting and Fire Engine Committee.
