Ernest Whitehouse was born at Bromsgrove, the son of Elizabeth Whitehouse.

Bromsgrove Droitwich and Redditch Messenger, 17th November 1917:
Mrs E Turner, 9, Eastman’s Yard, Bromsgrove, has received notice that her son Lance Corporal E Whitehouse of the Worcesters was posted missing on October 9th. Whitehouse, who is 19 years of age, previously worked for T and M Dixon, Tardebigge.
