Further Information About TETHER John Thomas

John Tether had worked for Jones and Attwood for a number of years and he volunteered in August 1915.  He was posted to the Royal Engineers and was serving during 1917 in A Company of the 4th Labour Battalion.  At some point on the Ypres front he was seriously wounded and sent to a military hospital at Rouen where he died of his wounds.  He had two sons and a son-in-law, as well as two brothers, serving overseas.
