Frank Saunders enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force on 26th June 1915 at Smiths Falls, Ontario, Canada.  On his attestation form he gave his date of birth as 26th May 1897 in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, England, his profession as a bootmaker and his next of kin as his mother, Mrs Charlotte Saunders, 24 New Bldgs, Bromsgrove.  Frank was 5ft 4ins tall with blue eyes, brown hair and a fair complexion.
