Albert Pugh was born on 9th February 1898. He enlisted as Private on 14th February 1916 at Kidderminster when he gave his occupation as a Tram Conductor and his next of kin as his father, Albert Pugh, 1 St George’s Terrace, Kidderminster. He was placed on the army reserve and re-engaged on 23rd December 1916 when he was assigned to the Victory Royal Marine Brigade. He transferred to the 2nd Royal Marine Battalion on 10th February 1917 and was presumed dead on 28th April 1917 by a Board of Admiralty held on 7th December 1917.
