Ralph Pratt was born in 1881. He married Flora Cresswell Taylor at the Registry Office, Evesham on 24th November 1908. In 1911 Ralph aged 29 was the head of the household and resident with his wife Clara and their daughter Alice aged 8 at Ashton Under Hill.

Ralph enlisted in the Worcestershire Regiment as Private 19977 on 9th December 1914 at Worcester. On his attestation form he gave his address as Ashton Under Hill, Tewkesbury, his age as 33 years and his occupation as a Labourer. Ralph Pratt was discharged as €˜not likely to become an efficient soldier’ on 3rd May 1915. He died aged 87 in 1968.
