George Pratt was born on 22nd August 1890 in the village of Stone near Kidderminster, Worcestershire. He resided in the village of Shenstone near Kidderminster when he was appointed as Police Constable No 153, Worcester Constabulary on 4th February 1915. He was single and was employed in the village by his father, Mr T.W. Pratt as a Market Gardener. He was 5 feet 11 and a half inches tall, weighed 11 stone, his chest measurement was 36 inches and he had a fresh complexion with brown eyes and brown hair. George spent just 113 days with the constabulary as a Constable 3rd Class and working at Police Headquarters in Worcester until 27th May 1915 when he resigned from the police force.

G. Pratt 1st/1st Worcester Yeomanry, 2nd Draft, embarked at Devonport 15th November 1915 for service with the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force, disembarked at Alexandria, Egypt on 6th December 1915. Killed in action 23rd April 1916.
