Albert Langley was born on 16th January 1889. He enlisted as a Driver in the Army Service Corps, service number T4/036290 at Cheltenham on 19th December 1914 when he gave his address as Ashton Under Hill near Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, his age as 25 years 11 months and his occupation as a Teamster. His next of kin was his wife Alice Ward Langley (nee Pitts). The couple had married on 12th November 1910 at Ashton Under Hill and had two sons, Albert Charles, born 17th February 1911 and Ernest John, born 12th February 1912. Albert entered France on 14th August 1915. He was transferred to the army reserve on 12th June 1919. Albert Langley died aged 87 in 1976.
