Tom Hunting was born on 2nd February 1897. In 1911 Tom aged 14 was resident with his parents Charles and Louisa and his 5 siblings at Ashton Under Hill. He served in the Great War as Private 19978 with the Worcestershire Regiment and later as Private 587107, Labour Corps. He was awarded the British War Medal and the Victory Medal. Tom Hunting died aged 76 in 1973.
