Further Information About HUNT Richard Nicholas

Appears in the Worcester/Worcestershire Roll of Honour Book for army casualties located in Worcester Cathedral.

Richard Hunt enlisted in the Royal Berkshire Regiment and was posted to the 13th (Labour) Battalion.  This unit went to France in September 1916 but the troops were transferred in April 1917 to the Labour Corps.  Richard Hunt would probably have served at least eighteen months in or near the front line, but at some point he became seriously ill and was brought back to England where he died.
