Harry Gaston enlisted in the army for the duration of the war on 9th December 1915 at Redditch. On his attestation form he gave his age as 29 years 4 months, his occupation as an Outfitters Manager and his address as 132 Other Road, Redditch. He was 5 feet 10 inches tall and gave his next of kin as his wife Lillian Gaston (nee Woolley) of the same address. The couple had married on 10th September 1914 at the Baptist Chapel in Evesham.
