Henry Capness was born in Aston, Birmingham in 1869. He was the husband of Elizabeth Capness nee Addison and the couple were resident at Highgate Street, Birmingham on the 1911 census when Henry’s occupation was given as a Polisher. He served as Private 2217 Royal Warwickshire Regiment, subsequently Private P13734, Military Mounted Police Corps. He went to France on 11th November 1914. Henry Capness died in Birmingham in 1931.
