Harry Martin Windsor was born on the 10th January 1897 in Redditch, Worcestershire and baptised on the 18th July 1897 at St Michael and All Angels Church, Bishopston, Gloucestershire. In 1911 aged 14 he was resident at The Laurels, Court Road, Malvern with his parents Harry aged 44, Amelia Louisa aged 40 and his three siblings, Sydney Margaret Windsor aged 17, Reginald Martin Windsor aged 11 and Marie Rosina Windsor aged 2. Harry senior was the manager of Malvern College Refreshment Shop.

In 1913 Harry sailed from Liverpool to Boston, Massachusetts on the SS. Carpathia, arriving there on the 17th March 1913. He resided for a time in Ohio, Cleveland where he enlisted in the United States army at some point during the Great War. On the 23rd May 1918 aged 22 he applied for US citizenship in Alabama. However, Harry died in France from pneumonia on the 20th November 1918 while serving as a Corporal with the 112th Regiment of Engineers, US Army.

Malvern News, January 1919:
Mr and Mrs H. Windsor of The Laurels, Court Rd, Malvern have been officially notified of the death of their son Cpl Harry M. Windsor aged 21, from pneumonia on the 20th November at the 13th General Hospital, France. He was an Old Boy of the Littelton Grammar School and an old chorister of the Priory. He went to the United States in March 1913 to reside with his uncle and aunt in Cleveland and when America joined the war he enlisted voluntarily in the 112th Regiment of Engineers with whom he served until his death.
