Berrow’s Worcester Journal, 12th December 1914:
Pte A. Wilcox, 1st Worcesters is an inmate of the Hospital at Weymouth, invalided from the front suffering from frost-bite.  He only recently returned with his regiment from Egypt, and, after two days’ furlough, went to the front.  It is hoped that his injuries will not be permanent.

Berrow’s Worcester Journal, 13th April 1918:
Martley – Pte A. Wilcox and Pte F. Millward, Worc. Regt., and Pte J.E. Lawson, Grenadier Guards all wounded.  Pte A. Wilcox returned with his regiment from Egypt on the outbreak of war and has been through much severe fighting.  He was previously invalided with trench feet.

The same photograph of Lance Corporal/Sergeant A.H. Wilcox of Martley can be found in Berrow’s Worcester Journal Supplement, Saturday 20th April 1918 and Saturday 16th November 1918, available at Worcestershire Archives.
