F. Townsend 1st/1st Worcester Yeomanry, embarked at Southampton 28th February 1918 for service with the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force, disembarked at Alexandria, Egypt on 21st March 1918.  Died on 21st January 1919. [Discrepancy in date of death between Yeomanry Roll of Honour and Commonwealth war Graves Commission/Medal Index Card.]
