Arthur J. Taylor, HMS Queen, serving – Kidderminster Shuttle 30th January 1915.

Arthur Taylor was born in Cardiff on 9th June 1893. He joined the Royal Navy on 11th April 1910, previously employed as a tin plate catcher. He served on Ganges, Bulwark and Illustrious before he was transferred to HMS Queen on 5th June 1914. He was killed in action whilst in a picket boat engaged in landing troops at Gaba Tepe (Gallipoli). In letters he wrote that he took part in the bombardment of the Dardanelles on 9th April. His younger brother is also serving in the Navy.
