Edward Steward was born on 25th April 1914.  He entered Form L4 Kings School in September 1929.  At the time of his admission to the school his parent is recorded as F.L.S., Highfield, Danecourt Rd, Tettenhall, Staffordshire.  Edward had previously been educated at Tettenhall College.  He left Kings School from Form L5 in April 1933 to attend University.
