DEATH OF AIRCRAFTMAN C.F. ROBERTS
Mr. George Roberts, of 9 Brookside, Hampton, was this week notified by the air ministry that his son, Aircraftman Cecil Frederick Roberts had died on active service abroad at the age of 21 years.  Educated at Merstow-green School, Aircraftman Roberts was employed for some time by Mr. Davies, Blacksmith of the Forge Hampton, and afterwards by Messrs. Robert E. Robbins Ltd., vegetable merchants of Evesham, but left their employ when he was called for service in the R.A.F. nine months ago.  He was well known and popular in Evesham and district and his relatives and friends will be sympathised with their sad loss.

(Cecil was the son of George Douglas and Alice J. Roberts (nee Perkins) who were married in 1910.)
