Registered at birth as Charles Percival W. Palmer and baptised as Charles Percival Willis Palmer at St Stephen’s church, Redditch on 27th March 1892. His parents were Charles and Ann Palmer. On the 1901 census he was known as Charles, aged 9, and lived with his parents Charles and Ann at 19 Alcester Street, Redditch.
