Further Information About OBREY Edward Alfred
Edward Obrey was baptised on 10th April 1889, one of four sons and the 10th child of Richard and Selina Obrey of Carden Street, Worcester. Richard was a cordwainer, he died in 1912 aged 67. Edward died from double bronchial pneumonia on 3rd December 1918. A coroner’s inquest was held on 6th December 1918 in Mapleborough Green, Redditch.
Edward Alfred Obrey, occupation: soldier, resident Carden Street, St Pauls, died at High House Farm, Redditch. He was buried in consecrated ground in Astwood Cemetery on 10th November 1918, aged 30 years. The ceremony was performed by the Reverend H.C. Jones.
