Appears in the Worcester/Worcestershire Roll of Honour Book for army casualties located in Worcester Cathedral with the information: The King’s Royal Rifles.
There is no record of this casualty on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission or Soldiers Died in the Great War. The Guildhall memorial lists 4,992 names of which 752 are marked with a gold cross denoting them as casualties. It is very possible that Arthur Hardman served but did not die in the Great War and a gold cross has been placed next to his name in error.
