The following information appears in the United Parish Magazine relating to the Worcestershire parish of Witley:
December 1914
Alfred Grubb of whom nothing has been heard since Sept. 28th has now been officially reported as wounded on Oct. 18th, no particulars of the nature of his wound or of his whereabouts are given.  We sympathize with his family and hope they may soon have good news.

Appears on the Roll of Honour for Witley published in the United Parish Magazine, January 1915, regiment given as E. Yorkshire Regiment.
