Frank Freeman was born in London in 1897, the son of Ernest and Florence Freeman. He attended Malvern College in House 7 from September 1911 to 1915.
According to his medal index card Frank Freeman enlisted as Private 4269 in the London Regiment, transferring to the King’s Royal Rifle Corps before being commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Field Artillery. He entered France in 1916 and is recorded as Killed in Action on 21st March 1918. Frank was awarded the Victory Medal and the British War Medal. His address is recorded as 1 & 2 Gracechurch Street, London E.C.
