Albert Fox was born in 1897, the son of George Henry and Ann Fox of Belbroughton. He enlisted in the army at Kidderminster and went to the Balkans on 25th August 1915.
The following report appears in the Bromsgrove Messenger, 30th October 1915:
Mr H Fox, of Hartle Lane Belbroughton, received information from the War Office that his son, Private Bert Fox of the 4th Worcesters, was killed in action at the Dardanelles on September 21st. Deceased enlisted at the outbreak of the war and was only 18 years of age. His eldest brother has also joined the forces.
