On the 1911 census Harry Dainty aged 21 was resident at 75 Pedmore Road, Lye with his family consisting of his father George aged 44, probable stepmother Mary Ann aged 39 (George and Mary had been married 16 years and had 10 of their 12 children still living), 3 younger brothers and 6 younger sisters.
Sometime during the June Quarter 1915 Harry married Clara Parkes in the Stourbridge Registration District.
