In 1911 Herbert Stewart Coopey, age 14, appears on the census living at Upper Ferry Lane, Callow End, Worcester with his parents Herbert John and Kate Elizabeth. Herbert was the third of nine children and the eldest son. His occupation was given as baker, his two older sisters were domestic servants whilst his father was shown as a cattle dealer.  All of the family were born in Powick according to the census details.

The death of Herbert S. Coopey, aged 20 is registered in the September Quarter of 1917 under the Upton Registration District.

Herbert Coopey, aged 22, Upper Ferry Lane, Callow End, buried in St Peter’s Churchyard, Powick on 4th July 1917.
