Prior to the war Isaac Cooper worked as a Pattern Fitter. He also served 3 years with the 7th Battalion Worcestershire Regiment before the war. He was attested on 30th October 1914, posted to Fort Tregantle, Cornwall on 5th November 1914 and posted overseas on 18th December 1914. Isaac had two children, William born 12th April 1913 and Mary Louise born 13th May 1915. He had a brother, Richard, a half brother Frank and two sisters Ada and Beatrice.
