The birth of Charles Bruntnell is registered in the September Quarter 1895 under the Dudley Registration District and he appears on the 1911 census in Dudley, age 15. His death is registered in the June Quarter 1919, age 23, under the Dudley Registration District.
The following information has been researched and transcribed by John Hale:
Discharged on 4th July 1917, gunshot wound forearm. Developed pulmonary tuberculosis post-war; two applications to Medical Boards refused to accept that the tuberculosis was caused by his war service. He does not appear on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission database and is not considered an “official” casualty. Brother of Frederick Bruntnell who died in France in 1916.
